Monarch Butterfly Waystation

On Tuesday, May 14, 2024, Chevy Chase Estates Garden Club, with assistance from the city of Glendale, installed native milkweed and other pollinator plants at the entrance of Emerald Isle Park. The garden was dedicated in honor of Mary Betlach, a past club president, who was devoted to the cause of increasing the number of Monarch butterflies and other pollinators.

The club continues to care for the garden by weeding, planting new species, and mulching. We are so appreciative of the wonderful feedback we've received from the community and look forward to watching the garden grow!
