The purpose of the Garden Club is to help beautify the area known as Chevy Chase Estates, to promote and give support to programs of conservation of the natural resources of the county, such as trees, water, minerals, soil and wildlife, and to support the City of Glendale, in ways deemed advisable, with its beautification programs and culture.

ABOUT

Founded more than 70 years ago, the Chevy Chase Estates Garden Club (CCEGC) has become a valuable canyon tradition. The organization is a wonderful way to meet your neighbors from the canyon and surrounding neighborhoods. Garden Club members meet for lunch on the third Tuesday of every month from September through June. Programs include topics of interest to those living near Chevy Chase and field trips to interesting places around the Los Angeles area. At each monthly general meeting, a collection is taken for Dimes for Pines, an association which reforests our local mountains after fires have occurred. Other monetary gifts are donated to the Theodore Payne Association that stresses the importance of planting native trees and plants. The Club also makes yearly donations to nature-related organizations such as Descanso Gardens and the Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden. Each year, on Arbor Day, the Garden Club donates trees to the City of Glendale in recognition of people who have contributed to the group or have been intricately connected to CCEGC. Membership is open to all residents of Glendale and surrounding communities.

Chevy Chase Estates Garden Club is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
